Mad Hatter Costume, Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland, Threadbanger

Inspiration for my Husbands costume this year :) I love how to's :)

  1. where do you get the fabric from? I want to have Mad Hatter Costume and Ive been to several halloween stores and craft shops, and no one had any idea what I was looking for..

  2. Go to your local Goodwill or thrift stores and look for articles of clothing that will resemble the costume. A coat...pants...and remember you can always dye them to change the color. We had to change our plans this year so my husband wont be the Mad Hatter until next year, he is going to be Pyramid Head from Silent Hill movie and games this year. You can also try walmart...they now have fabric again. I like to go to goodwill here in Madisonville, Ky and find unique articles of clothing to make costumes out of. My costume this year is made from scrap fabric from walmart, and 2 skirts that I have cut up from goodwill and resewn together to make my size and then a black blouse top cut and resewn. I'll post photos soon as I have it completed and closer to the date of my costume is a surprise so I don't want to say much yet.
